MINERAL MONDAY: GARNET
When picking stones for the recent update and for the past couple mineral mondays I find myself reaching for those that offer structure of some kind. Whether in their crystal formation or energetically, I am really finding myself longing for a sense of structure to operate within. I have been navigating my tasks quite aimlessly these past months and while my to do list is a mile long, my pace is no faster than walking. I find that “structure stones” are the best assistants…. including fluorite, pyrite, and garnet just to name a few.
Garnet helps ground your energy on the physical plane, literally getting your head out of the clouds and working to make your dreams become a reality. Other than its grounding properties, it is also simultaneously expansive and regenerative. The structure it offers guides you to really see your purpose, potential, and path and will stick around to help you see things through. It has powerful magnetic qualities that will help you manifest what you desire once you do the work and make the space.
Garnet is a sacred stone used for millennia all over the globe. It has been traced to Ancient Egyptian, Mayan, Aztec, Roman, and Greek civilizations, Sumeria, Sweden, former Czechoslovakia, parts of Africa, and beyond. It was featured in the breast plates of high priests in Jerusalem and the pharaohs in Egypt to support truth, consistency, and to nurture ones inner fire. It was held close by the indigenous people of North and South America because they believed it contained flashes of light that would bring a regenerative and expansive energy that stimulated awareness and certainty.
The light inside truly does spark a creative connection between the planes. Garnet works to energize all of your chakras instilling a flow of energy from crown to base. It works extra close with the lower chakras, specifically your base and sacral energy centers inspiring passion and expression. It gets you and your ideas to a place of action where you can implement the steps needed to make your visions a reality. Garnet makes for a truly powerful manifestation assistant as it can actualize things on the physical plane quite effortlessly. Garnet essentially works with whats available to you energetically to keep your energy centers balanced and in constant flow with each other.
Garnet is considered a stone of abundance for its magnetic qualities. It identifies what energies, ideas, people, and paths aren’t working for you and will urge you to let go of them with grace and love. To make room for what will support you is an important step in growth and moving forward. Once you have that space to fill, garnet attracts in energy that is good for you and that will support your true path. It is a stone of earthly pleasures and of making our dreams and desires physically tangible on this plane, ensuring manifestation is a lot easier on our part. It can be so rejuvenating and refreshing to clear out the old, stale, or negative baggage to make room for what comes next.
There are a few different forms of garnet ranging from reds to orange to green but the thing they all have in common is their ability to attract. No matter what kind of garnet you are using, you can ensure its main objective is to clear your blockages and call in your desires. It is important to remember that one of the most imperative steps in manifestation is that you first must believe you deserve all that you desire. It is energetics after all — if you believe something will never happen or that you don’t deserve it, you can probably expect it to never come.
Actively visualizing yourself already having that person/place/thing is more powerful than you may think. Try spending 20 minutes a day admiring the qualities of your dream lover, envision yourself on that towel on that far away beach vacation and imagine the smells and sounds, decorate your dream house in your mind and think of what you’ll put in all the rooms. This isn’t a silly exercise, it is a way to channel your hearts true desires, making them real by visualizing and opening your third eye, and making space energetically for these possibilities to enter your life. You don’t even need the crystal to do this part. Manifestation is a personal journey but you may find support from mineral allies that are there to ground the intangible onto this plane (like garnet).
